Equip Training, formerly known as SPSIL was established in 1949 as a private institution. It is located at Kangaroo Ground, Victoria. The Institute offers short courses in order to impart language development training and longer courses to teach the intricacies of translation, linguistics and literacy. It offers these in the form of diploma of social science in applied linguistics and graduate diploma in language description and development. In addition, the Summer School also has an anthropology component to help one understand the culture they will be living and working in.
