This program provides skills and knowledge to design and validate/evaluate electronics and communications equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice. In particular, the students will develop knowledge and skills in computer aid drafting and electronic design, computer interfacing, microprocessor programming, design, testing and commissioning of analogue and digital electronics systems, computer programming and perform simulations using various engineering software packages. Students will have employment opportunities in a range of industries, such as manufacturing, telecommunications, radio communications, electronics equipment and services, security systems, scientific instruments, and sales. Roles at paraprofessional (technical officer) level may include, but are not limited to, electronics technician, technical officer, engineering associate, drafts-person and sales engineer.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have completed Science, Engineering and Technology stream with a minimum 50% average for best four academic courses (subjects) and minimum 60% for English and prerequisites. They should have Minimum IELTS (Academic) overall band 5.5 with no individual band below 5.0; or TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum 530 with Test of Written English (TWE) no less than 3.5; or TOEFL (iBT) minimum overall score of 71 with a minimum of 17 in all sections; or Successful completion of REW Upper Intermediate program.
