Ringkasan program
This course comprises the mechanical or manufacturing stream of the Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology. It pushes the boundaries of mechanical engineering and manufacturing engineering. It enables to secure the career in mechanical design engineering or manufacturing automation with a solid understanding of mechanical equipment and systems, including: manufacture, maintenance, modification, installation. They can specialise in mechanical design, computer aided design (CAD), thermodynamics, mechanical machines, mechanical engineering systems, science of materials, drafting, manufacturing automation, robotics, and computer controlled machinery, fluid power - pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanics. Completion of the Advanced Diploma may allow up to two years credit in a university degree program. Graduates of these courses may gain employment in a range of industries covering special purpose machinery, material handling, drug, food and beverage production, automotive, petro-chemical, transport, pumps, fluid power, aerospace, construction, building services, air conditioning, stainless steel fabrication and aluminium fabrication. The majority of NMIT engineering graduates find employment in the manufacturing industry.

Students must have an Australian Year 12 (or recognised equivalent) with passes in mathematics and physics or relevant work experience. They must have IELTS 5.5 or higher (or recognised equivalents). Mature Age students are encouraged to apply.
