This program allows students to undertake university-level study without enrolling in a full degree program. Students may undertake this degree for a variety of reasons, including professional and personal development allowing them to choose subjects that suit their particular interests and career ambitions. This major in Language Studies comprises three levels from one of the languages plus three of the following: introduction to linguistics, language teaching methodology, course design, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, language testing, practical language teaching.

Students must have successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. They must also have IELTS score of 6.5 (no sub score less than 6.0), TOEFL score 570 (TWE 5), CBT 230, essay 5.0, iBT 89 (min) all sections 20, writing 22 for direct entry.
