This program allows students to undertake university-level study without enrolling in a full degree program. Students may undertake this degree for a variety of reasons, including professional and personal development allowing them to choose subjects that suit their particular interests and career ambitions. This major in Chinese studies comprises six subjects in Chinese Language I, Chinese Language II, Chinese Language II, Chinese Language IV, Intercultural Communication, Strategic China.

Students must have successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. They must also have IELTS score of 6.5 (no sub score less than 6.0), TOEFL score 570 (TWE 5), CBT 230, essay 5.0, iBT 89 (min) all sections 20, writing 22 for direct entry.
