This course combines both the practical and theory-based aspects of design. The Bachelor of Design (Interior Design) has been developed by experts with extensive interior design experience. It places emphasis on design in the real world. This three year professional degree will prepare graduates for employment in the interior design industry in Australia and overseas. The degree will be delivered at the Design Centre Enmore, one of the best design schools in Australia. Students and graduates regularly win national and international prizes and are employed at some of Australia’s most successful design companies. Career opportunities include interior designer. Based in an interior or architectural design practice, they could be designing a wide variety of interior environments, including single and multi-level residential spaces; large scale apartment complexes; exhibitions; virtual interior environments, including areas of gaming and animation; corporate design, including offices; hospitality design, including hotels, bars and restaurants; retail design and set design in film, television and theatre.

Students must have the following requirements: NSW HSC (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent; a recognized Tertiary Preparation Certificate; a qualification from a Registered Training Organization at Certificate IV level or the completion of at least one year full-time or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution. International students whose first language is not English or who have not completed their secondary education in English or who have not completed an Australian educational qualification must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum IELTS level of 6.5, with a minimum level of 6 in any one band.
