This program is designed for students wishing to upgrade their TAFE diploma qualifications to bachelor level via university studies. The degree builds on and enhances the practical skills gained during their TAFE studies providing them with greater avenues for employment and career advancement. This course is accredited by the Australian Computer Society. This course does not have majors. Students will study units in applications development, database systems, digital media, programming, systems analysis and design and web development. IT specialists are currently in demand in all industries including; mining, health, education, tourism and business in both public and private sector organisations.

Students should have completed an educational qualification deemed to be at least equivalent to completion of year 12 in Australia and achieved the equivalent of the minimum entry grade for the course for which they have applied. They should have fulfilled the Universitys English language requirement: IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band or TOEFL score of 550 with no less than 4.5 in the test of written English or TOEFL Internet-based with a minimum score or 79 and a minimum of 22 in writing and no less than 18 in other bands or equivalent.
