This course is all about the application of brand language (logo, colors, sound, imagery, textures, and messages) to three dimensional spaces. The branded environment is where elements of a company’s brand are taken to create vibrant and exciting expressions of the brand in a variety of spaces. The objective of this course is to develop ethical, reflective and professional practitioners who can access a body of knowledge enabling them to work in an interdisciplinary team to research, plan, organize and successfully complete creative, sustainable and cost effective strategies to a professional standard for the Australian and international market. At the successful conclusion of this course, a student will be able to: critically analyze problems to find the most creative, strategic, sustainable and cost effective solution, understand the critical role of experimentation in the design process Critique, produce and evaluate a communications strategy from a brand and consumer perspective, demonstrate leadership skills as a team player and communicator, their ability to creatively apply design theory to their professional practice, apply ethical and legal issues to strategic communication campaigns Critically reflect on the roles and responsibilities of professional practitioners in contemporary industry, apply principles of continuous learning and reflection that are relevant to the industry, demonstrate their capacity to develop and design unique branded environments in response to branding challenges, understand and demonstrate how a creative branding idea may engage audiences, articulate their creative solution using a range of media and communication techniques, critically evaluate environmental design strategies in a public framework, understand, manage and uphold the integrity of the brand.

Students must have a minimum of 18 years of age prior to course commencement with completion of Australian high school Year 12 or mature age (aged 21 or over) entry with relevant work experiences. International students must have an IELTS 6.0 (academic) with a minimum of 5.5 in each band if English is not their first language.
