This double degree is designed to give students practical financial skills and an understanding of the actuarial process. By combining applied finance with actuarial studies students will deepen their understanding of the financial, mathematical, statistical and economic analysis needed in long term financial management. In this double degree they will study economics, accounting and current financial theory. Students will learn mathematical techniques particularly useful to actuaries such as probability and statistics. The program has a focus on applying these skills to real financial organisations, markets and instruments. If students are interested in long term financial management and have a particular interest in insurance, risk and money. Career opportunities include Banking and Finance, Energy and environment, General and Health Insurance, Investment, Life Insurance, Management, Non-traditional areas such as IT, e-commerce, climate change; Public Sector: Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, Australian Taxation Office; Risk Management, Superannuation, Wealth Management.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have knowledge in Advanced mathematics or equivalent. They should also have IELTS (Academic English only): Minimum 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section; TOEFL (paper based test): Minimum 570 overall, with 53 Listening, 52 Reading, 59 Structure/ Written Expression, 4.5 TWE;TOEFL (internet based test): Minimum 90 overall, with 20 Listening, 20 Reading, 22 Writing, 20 Speaking.
