The combined course in Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) (Honours) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery offer admission to five select applicants each year. As a student of exceptional talent, the course allows them to realize their academic interests in both the humanities and social sciences and the study of medicine. They will meet medical prerequisite requirements during their first three years of study. Satisfactory completion of all requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) (Honours) will provide exemption from the GAMSAT and immediate admission to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in their fourth year. The course offers clinical experience at leading hospitals, research opportunities at world-leading institutes, and established elective placements throughout Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. Students will emerge as a graduate with outstanding personal and professional communication skills and an awareness of current best practice in medical education, who is responsive and committed to the health needs of individuals, families and communities.

Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS score of 6.5 (min 6.0 in each band) or TOEFL minimum result of 577 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in writing or IBT score of 90 overall including a minimum result of 22 in reading, listening and speaking and 23 in writing).
