This course may be offered to students at a place in the honours program at the completion of the third year of the Bachelor of Arts or BSW. This option is for students looking to enhance their research abilities and gain greater depths to their understanding of key issues within a specialised field of social work. Entry into the honours program is based on academic grades. Honours students are required to complete three subjects in addition to the usual subjects offered in their final year. These subjects are honours research methods, honours project seminar and honours dissertation. Social Work is amongst the fastest growing of all professions. Our graduates have an excellent record in gaining employment after graduation. Graduates with an honours degree have additional skills that are sought after by employers. Graduates work in a variety of settings such as Government agencies: schools, child and family welfare, corrections, Centrelink, Non-government agencies: children's services, youth services and with refugees and Multicultural agencies: Migrant Resource Centres.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have English (Year 12), any mathematics (Australian equivalent Year 11) qualification. They must have academic Year 12, International Baccalaureate or equivalent academic qualification. They must also have the following English language requirements they include minimum IELTS (academic test) test score of 6.5 overall, no individual band less than 6.0; Paper-based TOEFL minimum test score of 580 and a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 4.5 and Internet-based TOEFL score of at least 90 overall, a Writing score of at least 22 and no score lower than 20 on the other sections of the test and a grade in Cambridge English (Certificate in Advanced English - CAE). They should have VCE prerequisites and International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites scores.
