Ringkasan program
This program has been designed to provide students with flexibility and choice in coursework areas and offers a broad range of subjects aimed at providing a thorough and extensive grounding in the discipline. Psychology is concerned with the study of human behaviour and experience. People trained in psychology work in a wide variety of areas in health, education, industry, commerce, welfare and government. This study helps to critically analyze the existing knowledge about a research topic prior to one's own research (eg. sophisticated conceptual analysis of relevant content area/literature/intervention program etc., critical appraisal of one's own and others' research, generation of productive research questions), to construct a research plan (eg. research design, methods of observation) to address one's research question and to execute one's research plan adequately to obtain data.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must possess the degree of Bachelor of Arts with an APAC accredited three-year sequence in psychology (or equivalent) at an honours level. Successful applicants must satisfy both the Department's and Faculty's selection criteria. Locally qualified applicants should have English language requirement with the equivalent of a VCE English, English Language or English Literature study score in the 25 - 29 range (or a VCE ESL study score in the 30 -34 range) will be required to take a Diagnostic English Language Assessment (DELA) on enrolment at the University and to follow recommendations for language support. All other applicants should possess the following English Language requirements, they include TOEFL: Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English; Computer based test - a score of 233 or more including an Essay Rating score of 4.5 and Internet based test - a score of 90 or more with no band score less than 21 and IELTS: an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), including the completion of the Academic Reading and Academic Writing modules.
