This major in journalism comprises of six subjects drawn from the journalism offerings but must include writing for news media and ethical and legal strategies for the media. Double major option is also available. The double major comprises twelve subjects and includes all of those subjects previously listed, and three drawn from mass media, digital media and society, image and photography, screen production I, and a further three from the journalism offerings. The Bachelor of Laws course equips students for a career in the legal profession, business, industry or government, both within Australia and overseas. Its combination of excellent teaching, small classes and extensive legal skills program provides an exciting learning experience that both challenges students academically and prepares them practically for a legal career. On completion, students will have the opportunity to take leading positions in the public and private sectors, such as solicitor in private practice, barrister, government lawyer, in-house counsel and academia. The degree can also be used to gain admission internationally.

Students must have successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. They must also have proficiency in English with IELTS score of 6.5 (no sub score less than 6.0); TOEFL score 570 (TWE 5); (CBT 230, essay 5.0, iBT 89 (min) all sections 20, writing 22) for direct entry.
