This course aims to provide students with a multidisciplinary education that will allow them the opportunity to gain knowledge in a range of humanities and social science disciplines. Students will experience a variety of perspectives, methodologies and learning styles. They will explore disciplines that study the way humans recognise, record and debate human practices, meanings and values. This will aid them in developing contemporary understandings both of the human condition and of how society operates. Students will have the opportunity to gain crucial lifelong learning and transferable generic skills, such as critical thinking and problem solving. They will be able to apply these skills to a range of employment opportunities and life e Bachelor of Arts will also enable students to gain entry into a variety of postgraduate and vocationally oriented programs. The degree's flexible structure encourages students to tailor their own program by combining a selection of plans and courses including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, geography and environmental studies, history, literary and cultural studies, psychology, sociology, welfare studies and writing. Students will also be able to take up to ten electives from any other program in the University. Career opportunities available in the areas include advertising, arts administration, book editing, government administration and planning, communications, copywriting, desk-top publishing, editing, environmental planning and management, geography, history, journalism, librarianship, research, nature and heritage conservation, political research, psychology, teaching, welfare, writing (various), and many more.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have sound or satisfactory achievement in three academic subjects in Year 12 or equivalent. They should also have an overall IELTS band score of 6.0 (with no individual band score of less than 5.0), or a TOEFL score of 550 (Internet-based score of 79 or computer-based score of 213), including a TWE of 4.
