This double degree promotes a broad understanding of the visual arts and the ideas and forces affecting them, as well as the development of keen management, business and financial skills. It is ideal for students seeking a career in art administration, gallery management and the ever-growing art market, while for the aspiring artist it offers a valuable insight into the business world. The major study areas include: Accounting, Economics, Finance and Macroeconomics, Human Resource Management, Management, and Marketing.

Applicants must have completed one of the following qualifications: Equivalent Australian Year 12. They must also have completed the following prerequisite: VCE prerequisites: units 1 and 2-two units (any study combination) from general mathematics or mathematical methods (CAS) or Units 3 and 4-mathematics (any). Units 3 and 4-a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English and a study score of at least 30 in one of art or studio arts. International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites: a score of at least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL, and a score of at least 5 in visual arts SL or 4 in visual arts HL, and a score of at least 3 in any mathematics subject. Also applicants should demonstrate their English language proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0; TOEFL with a paper-based score of 580 with a TWE of 4.5; or an internet-based TEOFL score of at least 90 with 22 in Writing and no section lower than 20.
