This course is offered jointly by UTS: Information Technology and UTS: Business and is awarded with two testamurs. The information technology component provides a sound education in all aspects of computing and information technology for students who intend to make a career in the profession. The business component provides students with the knowledge, competencies and values necessary for fulfilling an effective career in business. Graduates with solid IT skills who also understand business operations are in strong demand in industry. It allows students to gain two degrees, leading towards a career in business IT operations in only four years. The aim of this course is to prepare graduates to apply an in-depth knowledge of information technology to the business activities of an organisation. Career options include accountant, advertising consultant, business analyst, e-business developer, economist, information systems developer, IT project manager, management consultant, marketing manager, software developer and web developer.

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Students must fulfill the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS score of: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based score of: 575 overall with TWE score of 4.5, internet based score of: 90 overall with a writing score of 21; or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at C level) or PTE score of 64.
