This course is designed to produce future leaders for the special events sector, and emphasises the application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for the effective management of events. It provides students with many career options by combining a solid business degree - encompassing areas such as accounting, marketing, business law, entrepreneurship and economics - with specialised professional studies related to management and delivery of special events, such as project management, arts/community festivals, meetings, conferences and tradeshows. Students also have the opportunity to plan, deliver and evaluate student-led events, Industry/community participation is actively encouraged. Major areas of study include: business, event management. On completion, graduates have broad-ranging employment opportunities in fields such as event operations, venues and destinations management, community events, and in professional event management organisations.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have completed VCE Units 3 and 4: study score of at least 25 in English (ESL) or 20 in English (any). They must have completed Australian year 12 or equivalent to other countries. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 213 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 80 with no individual score less than 20 or satisfactory completion of an English language subject at Year 12 or equivalent level which have been completed in the last two years and at an academic level acceptable to the University or approved equivalent.
