Information systems professionals use technology to create strategic business solutions. In this program students develop skills in both business and technology within the context of real business applications. They learn systems analysis, programming, database management, electronic commerce, and information systems management. Specialised courses include project management, network architecture, database design, and information technology security. They also gain general business skills via foundation courses in economics, management, marketing, and business accounting. Career opportunities include Information systems consultancy, systems analysis, business systems planning, programming, project management, web analysis and development. Students and graduates may become members of the Australian Computer Society.

Students must have completed Australian Year 12 with good grades and must have prior knowledge in English and Maths. Students must satisfy any one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of at least 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in all subtests; a TOEFL score (paper-based test) of at least 550, with essay score of 4; TOEFL score (internet-based test) of at least 76, with a minimum writing score 18 or successful completion of Direct Entry English Pathway, with a minimum grade of 65 percent.
