Ringkasan program
This program provides engineering infrastructure that functions in harmony with the environment. It combines the skills of a civil engineer to design, build, maintain, manage and operate infrastructure for the benefit of society with the expertise in sustainable development of an environmental engineer. Civil and environmental engineering addresses the interactions between engineered and natural environments, as well as the preservation of ecosystems. It involves designing, building, maintaining and operating infrastructure such as road systems, marine and wetland developments and recreational facilities. It can also involve working on projects such as mining and landfill site restoration. Demand is rapidly growing for engineering graduates with expertise in planning, designing, managing and operating environmentally sensitive infrastructure and systems. An increasing population and improving standard of living continue to provide many jobs in local, state and federal government, consulting and contracting firms, and research and development or education organisations.

Students must have English (Year 12), any mathematics (Australian equivalent Year 11) qualification. VCE prerequisites include units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English and a minimum ATAR of 70. International Baccalaureate subject prerequisites include a score of at least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL. They must have achieved the following English language proficiency test results: IELTS (minimum test score of 6.5 overall; no individual band less than 6.0); Paper-based TOEFL (minimum test score of 580; a Test of Written English (TWE) score of at least 4.5); Internet-based TOEFL (a score of at least 90 overall; a Writing score of at least 22; no score lower than 20 on the other sections of the test); Cambridge English CAE (A grade); Cambridge English CEP (C grade).
