This program in accounting involves the analysis and strategic use of financial information. In other words accounting can help in understanding the financial position of an organisation by tracking its income and expenses. Accounting can involve basic bookkeeping or more complicated management of balance sheets and income statements. Accountants play a significant role in resource allocation within firms through the collection, storage, analysis and strategic use of financial information. Accountants are found in both the private and public sectors, and in not-for-profit non-government organisations. Their analyses inform managers, shareholders, government and the community. Career opportunities include accountant/business analyst (public and private sector organisations), public practice, usually as a chartered accountant or CPA, consultant/business adviser, financial planner, manager, auditor, corporate insolvency and reconstruction.

Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS score of 7.0 (min 6.0 in each band) or TOEFL minimum result of 600 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in writing or IBT score of 100 (minimum 22 in reading, listening and speaking and 23 in writing).
