Ringkasan program
This programs given indepth knowledge about the construction industry which is an exciting and challenging working environment that is reflected in this study program. It simulates real-life situation faced by construction and quantity-surveying professionals through the use of problem-based learning. Students will develop a holistic view of the construction project environment, through problem-based learning and reflective professional practice, using real world situations faced by building and quantity surveying professionals. This program assists students develop skills to monitor and ocntrol the technical process of construction, as well as manage the legal and financial aspects of the building industry. This program is offered on-campus at Callaghan or by distance. The distance program is designed for those currently working in the construction industry. Graduates can be self-employed consultants or work for building/civil engineering contractors, as property developers, project managers, facilities managers or quantity surveying practices. Graduates can become sub-contractors, materials suppliers and also work in plant and equipment organisations. There are opportunities for international travel and good salaries soon after graduation.

Applicants must have previous Year 12 studies and/or Higher education, tertiary, post-secondary qualifications and/or overseas qualifications considered equivalent to Australian qualifications. Entry is based on UAI or equivalent. Students of China must have Senior Middle School 3 or 2 60% (SMS 3) or 75% (SMS 2), Malaysia students with SPM 30 points over five subjects and UEC 30 points over five subjects, Singapore students must have GCE ‘O’ Level (or forecast results) 30 points over five subjects and Vietnam students must possess Diploma of General Education Average grade 7.0. English language requirements include IELTS Overall Score of 5.5 (with no individual band less than 5.0), TOEFL – Computer-based Test score of 173 with a TWE minimum score of 4.0, TOEFL – Internet-based Test 71 with a minimum score of 16 in Writing, TOEFL – Paper-based Test 500 with a TWE minimum score of 4.0, GCE ‘O’ Levels C6, SPM English of grade B4, UEC Senior 2 English of grade B3, HKCEE English with grade C (Minimum D in Writing) and HKALE Use of English with grade E.
