It Provides students with a professional economics qualification and the option to explore studies in Arts, Social Sciences, and Languages, according to their career aspirations or interests and prepares them academically, technically and professionally. It equips students with the skills and knowledge to pursue a variety of career options. Students can choose from the following majors in Arts: Asian Studies, Chinese Studies, Criminology, Development Studies, English, Environmental Studies, European Studies, Film Studies, French Studies, Hispanic Studies, History, History and Philosophy of Science, International Relations, Japanese Studies, Korean Studies, Linguistics, Media, Culture and Technology, Music, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology and Anthropology, Theatre and Performance Studies. In Economics, students can choose from: Econometrics, Economics and Financial Economics. High achieving BA students may apply for entry to Honours. Honours is an additional year of study (two years part-time) which allows a student to further explore their depth studies. Students interested in studying at Honours Level in Economics should refer to the relevant Honours plan.

Applicants will be considered for admission to this program at UNSW on the basis of their performance in any of the following: Australian and New Zealand final secondary studies and/or, University or post-secondary or tertiary qualifications (eg, TER, TAFE Advanced Diploma), overseas qualifications considered equivalent to Australian Year 12 studies; alternative entry programs such as Access and UNSW Foundation Year. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the sub-tests of speaking, listening, reading and writing; TOEFL - Internet-based Test (iBT) overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 24 in writing; TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) overall score of 577 with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); successful completion of the UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component; overall score of 68 in Pearson Test of English academic version and successful completion of the ANU College Access Program with a minimum of 70 per cent overall.
