This 72-hectare site, located near the junction of Parramatta and City Roads, features landscaped grounds, sports ovals and centres, museums, galleries, two major complexes devoted to student recreation and services, and of course the famous Quadrangle and many other beautiful modern and historic buildings. The campus is the home to the faculties of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Architecture, Arts, Economics and Business, Education and Social Work, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Veterinary Science. Also located on this campus is the University's Centre for English Teaching.

Accomodation options that are available in this campus are University owned accommodation, Residential colleges, Sydney University Village, STUCCO student cooperative living. International House is the only University owned residential college. It offers both catered and self-catered options. The Student Housing Unit manages Darlington House, the Terraced Housing and Selle House. Darlington House accommodates 54 students in 12 male-only or female-only self-contained apartments in a modern apartment building. The Terraced Housing consists of single and twin-shared bedrooms in 43 terraced houses located near the University. Low cost accommodation, subsidised by the University, is offered in Selle House and several terraced houses. This accommodation caters to students on a very low budget. Students will only be eligible if they are an Australian Citizen or a Resident and receive a Centrelink benefit. Sydney University Village offers self-catering apartments to enrolled students. Located in Newtown, about ten minutes walk from the university, STUCCO is a housing co-operative for full-time, low income students who are Australian residents. Affiliated with, but not owned by the University, it accommodates 38 students in eight apartments. Off campus accommodation is available in student residence or hostel.
