Ringkasan program
This is a double degree combination that allows high achieving students to undertake a five year course of study in robotics and smart instrumentation. This course combines electronics, computer control, signal processing, and programming in the design, development and operation of robots, and their integration with other systems in the work environment. It also includes advanced topics in areas such as embedded systems, image processing, real-time control and smart sensors. The University has also developed close relationships with a number of private sector and government organisations and all students undertake Flinders' nationally recognised 20 week industry placement. The course has been designed to provide graduates with: a strong foundation in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of engineering, particularly those relevant to the systematic development of robotic systems; an awareness of social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of (robotic) engineering; an ability to critically analyse and evaluate information and solve problems; an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and a commitment to them; structured engineering work experience; the ability to work and interact professionally as an individual and as a member of multi-disciplinary teams; and preparation for future management roles as professional engineers. The course provides the foundations that will underpin ongoing professional development, preparing graduates for further study or for a career in an engineering related field or in other areas where the range of skills and knowledge acquired is needed or desirable.

Students must have successfully completed either SACE Stage 2 (Year 12) Mathematical Studies or Mathematical Methods for entry to the Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics) / Master of Engineering (Electronics). Knowledge of SACE Stage 2 (Year 12) Physics is assumed. Students can qualify for undergraduate courses through: year 12 qualifications, mature age entry (STAT), TAFE/VET qualifications, higher education transfers. They should have IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 (6.0 in speaking and writing); TOEFL (paper) score of 550 (TWE 4.5); TOEFL (internet) score of 80 (20 in writing and speaking); Cambridge (CAE) Grade of B or higher; Cambridge (CPE) Grade of C or higher; Pearson English Test overall score of 59 with no communication score less than 53.
