Ringkasan program
This course is concerned with all aspects of theory and applications for a broad range of systems such as telephone and data networks, radio and television broadcasting, satellite and deep space applications. The study of Telecommunications may also involve research in digital communications, microwaves and antennas, optical communications (including the design and manufacture of lasers and optical fibres), signal and information processing and satellite mobile communications. Employment as a telecommunications engineer involves the planning, design, commissioning and monitoring of complex telecommunications networks and associated broadcasting equipment.

Students will be considered for admission to this program at UNSW on the basis of their performance in any of the following: Australian and New Zealand senior secondary studies, university or other post-secondary qualifications, equivalent overseas qualifications, an alternative entry qualification. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the sub-tests of speaking, listening, reading and writing; TOEFL - Internet-based Test (iBT) overall score of 90 with a minimum score of 24 in writing; TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) overall score of 577 with a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE); successful completion of the UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course with a grade of C+ (grade point 7.0) and a minimum score of 20 in the writing component; overall score of 68 in Pearson Test of English academic version and successful completion of the ANU College Access Program with a minimum of 70 per cent overall.
