This course provides graduates with a professional entry level for the practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. It aims to produce professional Chinese medicine practitioners with highly adaptable and practical clinical skills accompanied by a thorough grounding in theory. The course has a strong history of delivering excellent graduates. Through working in clinics, students gain practical experience treating patients under the guidance of qualified health professionals. Opportunity exists for clinical internship in China or undertaking the International Studies program by learning Mandarin and spending a year studying in China. Career options include qualified health professionals working in private practice or one of the many growing alternative medicine practices throughout Australia.

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Students must fulfil the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS test score of 6.5 overall (with a writing score of 6.0) or TOEFL Test Paper Based score of 575 overall with TWE of 4.5 or TOEFL Test Internet Based score of 90 overall with essay writing of 21 or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at C level) or PTE score of 64.
