Ringkasan program
This program is designed for students who wish to obtain a broad knowledge of health sciences whilst gaining a nursing qualification. As part of the health sciences degree students can study subjects such as toxicology, epidemiology, behavioural health science, management and project design. Combined with the Master of Nursing, students enjoy greatly enhanced career and employment opportunities. Graduates will be prepared to take on complex clinical responsibilities in the health care system. Combined degrees are studied over four years and are available to students with the ability to undertake this pattern of study. Examples of career opportunities include scientific, research and management positions in health-related organisations in the public and private sectors. Potential employers include government departments, private health care suppliers, and scientific firms, medical and pharmaceutical firms. Graduates are eligible to register as a nurse in NSW, and consequently in all Australian states and territories. Registration in NSW is also accepted in a large number of countries beyond Australia. In addition to completing an accredited course, such as the Master of Nursing (graduate entry), the Nurses and Midwives Act of NSW specifies certain conditions that applicants for registration as a nurse are required to meet. Students must have an acceptable secondary qualification from their high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies). They must satisfy IELTS minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band or TOEFL minimum result of 600 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in writing or IBT minimum result of 100 overall including a minimum result of 24 in reading, listening and speaking and 25 in writing.
