This course offers a comprehensive foundation in business studies, combined with a health specialisation, responding to an increasing demand for business skills in the healthcare sector. The Bachelor of Health Sciences (270 credit points) comprises core first-year subjects, and electives from anatomy and physiology or public health. General electives can fulfil any remaining credit-point requirements. Major areas of study include: human physiology and anatomy, public health, ergonomics, safety and health, rehabilitation studies, counselling, health promotion, banking, business, business economics, economics, ergonomics, finance, financial management, human resource management, management, and marketing. On completion, graduates are likely to be employed in government departments and agencies, hospitals, community health centres, rehabilitation centres, geriatric care agencies, the voluntary health services sector, or private health services organisations.

Students must have completed Year 11 Mathematics, plus one of Biology, Chemistry, Year 12 Mathematics or Physics. They must have completed Australian year 12 or equivalent to other countries. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 213 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 80 with no individual score less than 20 or satisfactory completion of an English language subject at Year 12 or equivalent level which have been completed in the last two years and at an academic level acceptable to the University or approved equivalent.
