In this course students specialise in child and family services, corrective services, disability services or services for young people. It has a strong focus on contemporary social issues and provides them with professional skills suitable for a range of practice areas. They will develop skills in casework and case management, social policy processes, team practice and group processes, advanced communication, social research methods, community work, and human dimensions of space. Graduates generally work with communities and non-government agencies as case managers, counsellors, policy development officers, community development officers, welfare officers, youth workers, child protection officers and family service officers. Graduates are eligible to apply for membership of the Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students from India should have obtained CBSE Year XII with at least 80 per cent average grade. Students from other countries should have specific country wise requirements equivalent to Australia. They must have sound knowledge in the area of English. They must have achieved this study at a level comparable to Australian Year 12 or in recognised post-secondary studies. They must also meet English proficiency requirements with IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language overall score of 90.0.
