This course is open to existing graduates in any discipline who wish to gain an additional qualification in Law. Students gain a solid foundation in traditional law subjects and choose from a varied elective program. As a Law student they will gain an appreciation of the role of law in social, economic, environmental and political contexts and its significance for stable government, economic prosperity and the protection of individual and cultural rights. Opportunities for employment of James Cook University law graduates exist in a wide variety of areas and can include careers in, for example Legal practice as a Barrister or Solicitor; government; business and commercial law; environmental law; property law; criminal law; taxation law/corporate law/ bankruptcy and insolvency and family law.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have completed a Bachelor degree in any field of study at this or another University. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.5 (no component lower than 6.0) or TOEFL (paper based) score of 570 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.5) or TOEFL (internet based) score of 90 (minimum writing score of 21) or Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 64.
