In this course students study the distribution of creative content on new media, television, radio, print, Internet, mobile technologies, movies, advertising, public relations and music. They investigate and map the local media sector for the industry-acclaimed Brisbane Media Map project. They gain experience through internships and work placements with government departments, media, advertising and public relations organisations. Graduates use their skills for a variety of professional functions across all industry sectors. Many work in marketing communications, public relations or corporate communications. Others apply their broad media knowledge in the media function of advertising, either as sales executives for media outlets or as media planners and buyers for advertising agencies. Graduates find employment in media policy development in the public sector and private enterprise. Some gain employment as digital content managers; there is a need for people who understand the industry, audiences, technology and policy and can use their knowledge to communicate content to the right people in the best possible manner. Pathways exist to prepare them for further study including honours.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students from India should have obtained CBSE Year XII with at least 80 per cent average grade. Students from other countries should have specific country wise requirements equivalent to Australia. They must also meet English proficiency requirements with IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language overall score of 90.0.
