Ringkasan program
This degree combines a professional degree in medical science with immersion in another language and culture. The medical science program is designed to educate and train graduates for careers in medical and health-related sciences. It aims to produce medical scientists with highly adaptable, practical scientific skills and a thorough grounding in the structure and function of the human body and in disease processes at the cellular, whole organ and behavioural level. The combination of medical science and international studies aims to produce graduates with an increased awareness of the international contexts of health and who are well prepared to pursue global health related professional careers. Multinational pharmaceutical companies look to medical science graduates to work in drug registration, clinical trials coordination, as technical or marketing representatives and as policy analysts. Career options include positions in government departments, private and public hospitals and public health units, nationally and internationally.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Admission to the combined degree is on merit according to the admissions policy for the Bachelor of Medical Science (C10184). There is a range of entry levels to the various language and culture programs. Students are admitted to the International Studies program with no guarantee of entry to a specific major, although every effort is made to meet students' preferences. Students must fulfil the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS test score of 6.5 overall (with a writing score of 6.0) or TOEFL Test Paper Based score of 575 overall with TWE of 4.5 or TOEFL Test Internet Based score of 90 overall with essay writing of 21 or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at C level) or PTE score of 64.
