Ringkasan program
This course is supported by a framework of woman-centred care, and underpinned by the principles of primary health care, it prepares students to work as professional and contemporary midwives within a variety of care contexts. The course curriculum reflects the philosophy that midwifery is a profession in its own right and provides learning opportunities in order to prepare each graduate to function as a safe and competent midwife. Graduates of this course will be eligible to apply for registration by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) to practise as a midwife in any state or territory of Australia.

Applicants must have successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education (or equivalent) and an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 60 or higher. Additionally the enrolled nurses and hospital-trained registered general nurses must ensure they correctly answer the question relating to nursing current practising certificate when applying on SATAC's UniWeb. SATAC will attempt to confirm their registration on the online register of the relevant Nurses Board but if SATAC is unable to do so, applicants will be asked to submit a certified copy of their certificate. Applicants holding a Bachelor of Nursing degree but who have let their nursing registration lapse and who have not been part of the nursing workforce in the past five years will be required to provide written evidence of prior registration from the relevant Nurses Board. Also they should have demonstrated their English language proficiency with an overall minimum IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, or equivalent.
