Ringkasan program
This course combines subjects from health science, health promotion, professional practice and management. Special emphasis is given to occupational therapy in rural and remote settings, and they will undertake placements each year in a range of rural and urban locations throughout northern Queensland. They will also gain valuable clinical experience at JCU’s occupational therapy clinic on the Townsville campus. Opportunities to visit Nepal and Vietnam to work with local health professionals are offered to selected students. Occupational therapists are in demand in Australia. Graduates are equipped for rewarding careers in public and private health services, and in promoting well being in rural and urban communities. Occupational Therapists are employed to work in a range of clinical and consultative roles with people who have physical and or mental disabilities across the lifespan (children, adults and the elderly).

Students must have completed Queensland Year 12 English or the interstate equivalent and One of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical education, or Health education or other country specific requirements equivalent to Australia. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS score of 6.0 (no component lower than 5.5) or TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.0) or TOEFL (internet based) score of 79 (minimum writing score of 19) or Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 57.
