The program equips students with a broad knowledge base they can use to resolve practical policy problems. Course content includes policy-focused economics seminars and a range of subjects that integrate philosophical, political and economic aspects of public policy issues (for example, PPE, Public Policy and Ethics, and Governance and Public Policy). This approach enables students to develop research- and evidence-based solutions to policy problems. Major areas of study include: politics, philosophy, economics. On completion, graduates are trained for positions as economic and social analysts and decision-makers in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Typical roles may include analyst, economist, journalist, and political adviser.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have Completion of VCE and Units 3 and 4, a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or at least 25 in English (any) and a study score of at least 25 in Mathematics (any) or equivalent. They must have completed Australian year 12 or equivalent to other countries. They must also satisfy one of the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0 or TOEFL Paper-based Test: a minimum score of 550 with a score of 5 or better in the Test of Written English or TOEFL Computer-based Test: a minimum score of 213 with a score of 5 in essay writing or TOEFL Internet-based Test: a minimum score of 80 with no individual score less than 20 or satisfactory completion of an English language subject at Year 12 or equivalent level which have been completed in the last two years and at an academic level acceptable to the University or approved equivalent.
