This course integrates a professional degree in information technology with a major in another country or culture and its language, enhancing professional training and career options. The information technology component provides a sound education in all aspects of computing and information technology for a career in the profession. The international studies component offers an in-depth understanding of another culture through academic and experiential learning. Students must choose one IT major in business information systems management, enterprise systems development, internetworking and applications, or computer and data analytics. Students also choose a country major for their language and culture studies. The course adopts a practice-based approach to IT education and the course content is designed with a mix of theory and practice. As well as gaining strong technical skills in IT, students gain skills in business analysis, problem solving, teamwork and communication. Employers look for graduates with industry experience and, in this course, students are exposed to real IT problems. The international studies component of this course means that graduates have the added advantage of being well prepared to work in a diverse range of IT careers and companies overseas. Career options include business analyst, network engineer, network specialist, software developer, software engineer or web developer. Graduates of this course are in high demand with technology companies and industries that use IT such as banking, construction, energy, finance, government, manufacturing, retail and transport. Options are enhanced by international experience, making students more marketable to prospective employers, including multinational companies.

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. There are no prior language requirements for the International Studies program. Entry level to the various language and culture programs depends upon students' prior knowledge of the relevant language. Students are admitted to the International Studies program with no guarantee of entry to a specific country major, although every effort is made to meet their preferences. Students must fulfil the following English language proficiency of academic IELTS test score of 6.5 overall (with a writing score of 6.0) or TOEFL Test Paper Based score of 575 overall with TWE of 4.5 or TOEFL Test Internet Based score of 90 overall with essay writing of 21 or DEEP Program (Completion of the Insearch Direct Entry English Program at C level) or PTE score of 64.
