Ringkasan program
This course is an exciting occupation that allows students to meet many different kinds of people and to travel. The basis of journalism is information - discovering, collecting, assembling, analyzing and presenting information. To do this effectively, journalists require highly developed skills in language, a good understanding of the media, an interest in current affairs and a broad general knowledge. By studying the BA, students will graduate with highly developed skills in written communication, problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal is an important tool in just about every discipline, from human movement studies to psychology to drama. To make best use of the tools available, and especially to see the possibilities of new tools, they need to understand what computers do and how to program them. Both the majors aim to give students an understanding of the background and workings of a wide range of media industries and the press, magazines, advertising, radio, television and new media. They also consider how communication operates and the everyday cultures within which this happens. There are two `streams' within the major: Communication and Cultural Studies; and Media Studies. The extended major is not streamed.

Students must have completed Year 12 or equivalent English. They should also satisfy the English language requirements: IELTS (overall score of 6.5; writing score of 6); TOEFL - (Computer based score of 237; Essay writing score of 4.5); TOEFL - (Paper based score of 570; TWE (Test of written English) score of 5); TOEFL - (Internet Based (IBT) overall score of 90; writing score of 21).
