This dual degree program provides students with a wide range of majors across science and arts. Students can structure their program within each degree component to include majors in their area of interest and a range of electives. Geology is the study of the interacting systems of the solid Earth, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere as they evolve through time. Geologists discover, develop, and responsibly manage minerals, energy, and other Earth resources. Geological knowledge underpins the capacity to ensure a sustainable supply of natural resources and the use of these resources responsibly, and it is essential for solving environmental challenges such as global climate change. They may specialise in economic geology, mining geology, energy resources, geophysics, environmental geology, geochemistry, palaeobiology, marine geology, surficial processes and landscape evolution, tectonics, and remote sensing. Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have completed Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English, mathematics B plus one of chemistry or physics. They should also satisfy the English language requirements: IELTS (overall score of 6.5; writing score of 6); TOEFL - (Computer based score of 237; Essay writing score of 4.5); TOEFL - (Paper based score of 570; TWE (Test of written English) score of 5); TOEFL - (Internet Based (IBT) overall score of 90; writing score of 21).
