This dual degree program provides students with a wide range of majors across science and arts. Students can structure their program within each degree component to include majors in their area of interest and a range of electives. Microbiology is the study of microscopic living organisms: bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae and protozoa. These organisms have a major impact on all aspects of life. Diseases caused by microbes are well-known and can involve viruses (e.g. influenza and HIV), bacteria (e.g. meningococcus, staphylococcus, E. coli) and protozoa (e.g. malaria). Understanding of these organisms is directly linked to the control and prevention of infectious diseases. Immunology plays a key role in understanding how humans and animals respond to the challenge of these disease-causing organisms. Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have completed Queensland Year 12 or equivalent English, mathematics B plus one of chemistry or physics. They should also satisfy the English language requirements: IELTS (overall score of 6.5; writing score of 6); TOEFL - (Computer based score of 237; Essay writing score of 4.5); TOEFL - (Paper based score of 570; TWE (Test of written English) score of 5); TOEFL - (Internet Based (IBT) overall score of 90; writing score of 21).
