Ringkasan program
In this course, students will gain a solid grounding in the basic computer skills required to succeed in today's business environment. The course has a number of benefits: solid foundation for further studies in Information Technology; develops skills in using a graphical user interface (MS Windows); provides a solid grounding in desktop publishing packages, as well as the most widely used business computer software packages: MS Word, Excel, Access; provides a basic understanding of computer networks and computer hardware; develops skills in the areas of communication; provides an understanding of the workplace in an IT environment; provides an understanding of work, health and safety issues; provides an understanding of an operating system and its basic use; provides an understanding of software installation and maintenance of computer system security; provides an introduction to multimedia skills for digital image capture; develops effective Internet use; develops skills for operation of computer hardware and peripherals; Career opportunities: assistant computer technical officer; data entry and retrieval officer; general clerical worker. Students completing the Certificate II in Information Technology will be able to apply to undertake the Certificate IV in Information Technology. Students will be eligible for exemptions in some subjects.
