In this course, students will learn how to produce a range of floral products; operate the equipment that is found in a florist shop; care for floristry stock and merchandise; prepare and display floristry stock; assemble and prepare floristry products; create floristry designs using hand tied and wiring techniques and a base medium; and provide service to the wide range of customers that buy floristry products. They will also learn how to apply the retail competencies that they have achieved to a floristry outlet. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include florist.
