Ringkasan program
This course provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring basic operational knowledge and limited practical skills in a defined context. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide technical advice and support to a team. The qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway. Studies can be undertaken either on campus or externally at your workplace. Career opportunities include as Bar Attendant; barista; waiter or as wine waiter.

Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of Year 10, be a mature age student, or have the necessary underpinning knowledge and skills in key competencies. It is essential that they undertake an interview with the course coordinator. Completion of Certificate II in Hospitality (SIT20207) would be advantageous but not essential. They must also demonstrate their English language proficiency with an overall minimum TOEFL score of 550 and score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English (TWE), valid for two years, from the date of the test to the date of commencement at CDU; or with a minimum CBT score of 213 and a minimum score of 4.5 in the Essay Rating; or with a minimum IBT score of 79 and a minimum score of 20 in writing.
