Ringkasan program
This course is for people who work or who want to work in aged care work within a residential facility or have prior experience in aged care work who want to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. It does not qualify students to provide direct care services to clients. For this, they should complete Certificate III in Aged Care or Certificate III in Home and Community Care. When they finish this course they will be able to work independently and undertake team leadership within aged care residential and center-based services. Specifically, they will learn how to assess the service needs of older people with complex needs, plan and monitor service delivery, undertake relevant administrative work, plan and conduct group activities, implement and monitor OHS policies and procedures, conduct recreation programs for older people and organize an effective work environment. Career opportunities include care team leader, day activity worker, accommodation support worker, hostel supervisor, care supervisor, personal care worker.

Students must have completed a Certificate III in Aged Care Work (18167). English language requirements: academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (IBT) 46 or Certificate III in English for Further Study at TAFE NSW or equivalent.
