Ringkasan program
This course is equivalent to Year 12 and other University Foundation Programs. It aims to prepare students for further study in the MIBT Diploma courses or direct entry into first year of selected Deakin University degrees. The Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies comprises eight academic units (three core units, three option units and two elective units). In addition, a number of support tutorials are available to help students with their academic units including literacy and numeracy assistance. Instruction for all units is classroom based and four hours of class contact per week are allocated to each unit. Assessment for all units is ongoing and continuous, consisting of tests, assignments and case study analysis. Most units have a final three hour examination.

Students require a successful completion of Year 11 or equivalent and they must be able to demonstrate English language proficiency before being admitted to a course. This can be done by obtaining one of the following results: DUELI: EAP 2, English 1119: C6, GCE 'O' Level: C6, HKCEE English Syllabus B: D, IELTS: 5.5 (with no band score below 5.0), SPM English: C4, TOEFL Computer Based: 195, TOEFL Paper Based: 525, TOEFL iBT: 69-70, Year 12 English (Australia): pass and Year 12 English (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Nepal): Div 2. Country specific academic entry requirements are as follows: Indian students should have completed the All India Senior School Certificate with average mark of 50 per cent; Chinese students require successful completion of Senior Middle 3 or a very good Senior Middle 2; Malaysian students should have successfully completed Form 5 (SPM) or equivalent or Senior Middle 2; Bangladeshi and Pakistani students require completion of Senior School Certificate with a grade average of 50 per cent; Singapore students require successful completion of Sec 4 (GCE 'O' Levels); USA students should have completed Grade 11 or equivalent; African students require successful completion of 'O' Levels except South African students who should have completed Year 11 or equivalent.
