Ringkasan program
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to work as a dental technician. During the course, students will learn how to design, construct, modify and repair dental prostheses and appliances, such as dentures, bridges, crowns and mouth guards. The course also fosters important work skills, such as communication and business techniques. After successful completion of this course, candidates will receive the Diploma of Dental Technology, and graduates of the course will be qualified dental technicians. There is a high demand for dental technicians and dental prosthetists (dental technicians with clinical training) in Victoria and Australia. The Victorian Oral Health Services Labour Force Planning Report 2002 shows that, even with high recruitment, by 2010 demand for services will outpace capacity to supply. Successful completion of the Diploma of Dental Technology will enable graduates to pursue further study opportunities in dental prosthetics.

Students should complete year 12/matriculation level or the overseas equivalent. They must satisfy English language proficiency of IELTS 6.0 (academic), ISLPR 3, TOEFL 237(CB) or 60 (iBT), PTE Academic Score of 50 (no communicative skill score less than 50), Cambridge English: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of 52 or equivalent.
