Ringkasan program
This course consists of five phases - Phase one: Pre-sea Deck Cadet core navigation, seam ship subjects and safety training (10 weeks at AMC); Phase two: At sea Task and Guided Study program - Task book (Training afloat Adv Dip 9 - Dip 18 months); Phase three: Deck Watch keeper education and training including STCW95 short courses (33 weeks at AMC); Phase four: At sea Task and Guided Study program - Task Book (Training afloat 9 months) and Phase five: Chief Mate/Master unlimited education and training (33 weeks at AMC). Shipping companies world wide are supporting young people from the end of the school as Deck Cadets. AMC can provide a complete program for Australian and International Deck Cadets. All programs are internationally approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), meeting the STCW95 convention and graduates are certified to obtain the Australian Watch keeper, Chief Mate and Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have completed a Year 10 English, Year 12 Maths and Science, or equivalent. Students with English as second language need an IELTS score of at least 5.5 or 5 overall. AMSA approved Medical requirements and eyesight test is also required. They will need to obtain a trainee-ship/cadet-ship with Shipping Company in order to undertake the seagoing components of the program.
