Ringkasan program
This course aims to provide training in creative, business and technical writing, editing and the production of text; develop skills in the use of technology in the writing/editing industry; provide a disciplined environment for potential writers and interaction with like-minded people; and provide students with an awareness of how to market their work, and a knowledge of the markets available to the professional writer and editor. Articulation arrangements currently exist with Deakin University Bachelor of Arts Journalism and Professional Writing / Literature majors. Career opportunities include publishing; editing - freelance and in-house; design and layout - print and electronic media; corporate writing; journalism; creative non-fiction - reviewing, histories, travel writing; fiction - novel, short story and poetry, writing for children / young adults; and performance writing - plays and film scripts.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a good record at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and preferably some relevant work experience. They must satisfy English language proficiency level of IELTS 6.0, ISLPR 3, TOEFL 237 (CB) or 60 (iBT), PTE Academic Score of 50 (no communicative skill score less than 50), Cambridge English: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) of 52 or equivalent.
