This qualification trains graduates to be responsible for the development and the outcomes of programs and services for young people. Services are managed through a range of community and institution-based agencies, and designed to meet the social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs of young people. Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to receive the Diploma of Youth Work. This course is a nationally recognised qualification, providing career opportunities in the field of Youth Services within Australia. Graduates can expect to fin a range of employment opportunities as a youth worker. They may apply for entry into degree courses such as social welfare, youth work and criminology.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a good record at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and a minimum of one year paid or unpaid employment experience in a youth-related field or satisfactory completion of other relevant studies. They must satisfy English language proficiency level of English language proficiency level of IELTS 5.5(academic module, with no individual band less than 5.5), ISLPR 2+, TOEFL 197 (Computer based) or PEARSON PTE Academic Score of 46 (no communicative skill score less than 42) or equivalent. They must also have a current Victorian Police Records Check be provided prior to practical placement.
