Students for Christian ministries can use these courses to meet some of the typical academic prerequisites for ordination, but the program is flexible and a wide range of options are available. Anglican Diocese of Newcastle expects its ordinands to complete this degree as their formal educational qualifications, concurrently with vocational ministry training for priesthood.

Students should have a satisfactory audition/ interview is a requirement of admission together with an acceptable level of attainment in year 12 or equivalent. Students must satisfy any one of the following English proficiency requirements whose first language is not English: IELTS 6.0 no subtest less than 6.0, ELICOS Exam (Entry Level Pass (EP) in EAP exam), TOEFL paper based test result of 525 minimum score of 4 in TWE or internet result of 80 and no subtest less than 20, PTE (Academic) score of 57 with no subtest score less than 50, CULT score of 70.
