This program is a professional doctorate in music performance open to highly talented and skilled musicians with strong scholarly abilities. The course combines high-level performance with rigorous scholarship and writing. It is designed to assist musicians to prepare for or advance a career as an innovative and research-based performer, and it is intended to prepare musicians to participate in the professional research culture of a university environment. A graduate will be expected to display high levels of musical artistry and the ability to undertake and present creative and scholarly research through performance and writing. Possible careers include Academic or music scholar, researcher or composer.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have completed the degree of Bachelor of Music (Performance) with first or second class (first division) honours; or the degree of Master of Music (Performance) with a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 75 per cent; or the degree of Master of Music Studies with a WAM of at least 80 per cent. They must satisfy IELTS minimum result of 7.0 overall including a minimum result of 6.0 in reading and listening and 6.5 in writing and speaking or TOEFL minimum result of 600 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in writing or IBT minimum result of 100 overall including a minimum result of 23 in reading, listening, speaking and 24 in writing.
